Overview
Software available for use by JMU employees and students is typically available on JMU-owned computers through Endpoint Management and also in Computing Labs. Certain academic and remote-access software titles have been made available for use on personally-owned devices via the download links below.

Microsoft 365 | JMU students receive a subscription to run Microsoft 365 (Office) applications at no cost for Windows and Macintosh computers. In addition, you may install it on up to 5 computers. Your subscription to Microsoft 365 will remain as long as you are enrolled as a JMU student. | Microsoft 365 |
Nvivo | Software that supports qualitative and mixed methods research. It's designed to help you organize, analyze and find insights in unstructured, or qualitative data like: interviews, open-ended survey responses, articles, social media and web content. | JMU Libraries |
SAS | A comprehensive tool for analyzing data that facilitates statistical analysis, data management, forecasting, decision support, research, and other academic and business functions. | JMU Libraries |

Endpoint Management is the ability to provide central management of JMU-owned computers and other devices. Central management of endpoints reduces risks to you and the university from unpatched and unsupported software, viruses, and other threats. |

General use computing labs are available to the general JMU population at various locations on campus and may be reserved by faculty and staff. A JMU JACard is required for entry into the general use labs. |
