Changing Personal Info

Voicemail gives you step-by-step recorded instructions every time you dial into the system. Once you are comfortable using Voicemail, you can proceed without listening to all the instructions each time. If you ever have any questions or problems with your Voicemail, you can call the JMU Telecom Office at 568.6471 for assistance.

DIAL 84411 (or 568.4411 off-campus)

ENTER YOUR SECURITY CODE

Voicemail will first prompt you to "Press P" (the 7 key on your dial pad) to play the current message. The next series of prompts will be:
PRESS U (the 8 key on your dial pad) to change User Options.
PRESS G (the 4 key on your dial pad) to change your greeting.
PRESS N (the 6 key on your dial pad) to change your name.
PRESS P (the 7 key on your dial pad) to change your passcode.
PRESS X (the 9 key on your dial pad) to exit the system. Make your selection from this menu and follow the instructions given to you. If you need to change more than one item, you must re-enter the "U" (the 8 key on your dial pad) for User Options after you complete the first change. After all the changes are made, always remember to:
PRESS X (the 9 key on your dial pad) to save the changes, and
PRESS X (the 9 key on your dial pad) to exit the Voicemail system.
