What do I do at the Counseling Center?

Hi! My name is Pen but my mom calls me Pen-Pen.

I am two years old and still pretty high energy, especially when me and my brothers start to play. I am a domestic tiger striped short hair cat with a kinked bob tail. I was born this way and no, it doesn’t hurt!

I love meeting new people and being pet (although please do NOT touch my belly or my little paw pads – it tickles too much). If I show you my belly, its to show you I trust you. It is NOT to ask for belly rubs. Afterall, I’m not a dog. 

If I’m really excited, my whole body will tremble, same with my tail! I will sometimes lick and give little love bites to show how much I care for someone. If I sense that you’re worried or sad, I may come up to you and give you a little bump with my head or demand your attention and get you to pet me. My purrs can be quite healing and soothing, or so I’ve been told.  

My favorite activities are to be pet, to play (anything can become a toy – even a rolled-up receipt), and to bird watch. Oh, and I guess I love napping too. If I’m napping at work, please check with my mom if it’s okay to pet me and how. 

I don’t like being picked up when I’m eating or already doing something else. I much prefer jumping onto your lap versus being placed there.
