Summer Counseling Center first visit walk-in appointments occur Mon-Thurs, 11am-2pm.

EVEN WHEN WALK-IN HOURS ARE CLOSED, 24/7 crisis service options are ALWAYS AVAILABLE to JMU students experiencing a mental health emergency (e.g., thoughts or plans to kill yourself, thoughts of seriously harming others, recent sexual assault).

In response to the conflict in Ukraine:

The Counseling Center is in support of the people of Ukraine as they actively face a changing sociopolitical landscape and war. We grieve for the loss of life, the separation of families, the displacement from homes, and the unknowns that those in the Ukraine are holding right now.

We are here for our Dukes who are directly and indirectly affected by this situation. We recognize the intersection of identities of those who are affected across race, religion, ethnicity, gender, and our international community of students, faculty, and staff. We see you. We are committed to serving, continuously learning, and creating safe spaces for both JMU students and the JMU community.

You may notice experiencing a range of emotions, whether or not you live or have loved ones in that region. Please check in with yourself about what you need, take care of yourself, reach out to your supports, & access those resources available to offer you support and care.
