Friday, August 16 – DAY 1: CHECK-IN and MOVE-IN   

9:00am – 5:00pm Check-in at the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) in Holland Yates Hall  

12:45pm Pick-up at Megabus stop. ISSS staff will meet you at the Megabus stop to load your baggage onto the ISSS bus and take you to lunch.  If you are not arriving with the Megabus and will be arriving on your own or with family, please contact Cheryl Helmuth Logan with details of your arrival, move-in date and time, etc. 

Around 3:00pm  Complete check-in with ISSS staff (review orientation folder: apps, technology, JACards, Residence Halls), including a campus tour

5:00pm Dinner with ISSS at D-Hall  

6:00pm – 8:00pm Shopping (Get on the ISSS bus at the JMU Bookstore by 5:45pm) 

Around 8:30pm Move-in to Residence Halls 

Saturday, August 17 – DAY 2: GETTING SETTLED  

Morning schedule to be determined.

12:00pm  Lunch at D-Hall

Afternoon schedule to be determined.

4:00pm – 7:00 pm Welcome Picnic at UREC

Sunday, August 18 – DAY 3: REQUIRED ORIENTATION SESSIONS   

8:30am Breakfast at CGE  

9:00am Welcome Remarks from Director 

9:15am Session 1: Cultural Expectations 

10:00am Activity 

10:30am Session 2: Academic Expectations 

11:15am Session 3: Health Insurance 

12:00pm Lunch
