What do I do at the Counseling Center?

Hi! I'm a doctoral intern completing my PhD in clinical psychology at Saint Louis University, where I'm specializing in health psychology and sport psychology. In JMU's Counseling Center, I provide individual and group therapy for students and help lead outreach across campus. My focus area is athlete mental health, something I'm truly passionate about!

My clinical interests include performance psychology, sport-related injury, disordered eating and body image, women's reproductive health, identity exploration and development, interpersonal relationships, and overall well-being.

What is it like to work with me?

In our work together, I strive to build a meaningful, empathetic connection that centers you as a whole person and honors your unique story and capacity for growth. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is transformative, so I aim to meet you with genuineness and warmth.

Drawing from a feminist orientation, I prioritize transparency and power-sharing in our work, paying attention to how your identities, relationships, and the world around you shape your well-being. I see you as the author of a complex story, one where every chapter reflects both who you are and what you’ve experienced, and my role is to understand that fuller narrative rather than reduce you to a single event or challenge. My approach is integrative and flexible, shaped by what you bring into the room, but always grounded in collaboration, genuine connection, and processing emotions together. Ultimately, my intention is to help you recognize your strengths, reclaim your voice, and step into a greater sense of empowerment.

What do I do at JMU outside of the Counseling Center?

In my free time you can find me playing or watching sports, especially soccer and Formula 1, or hitting the slopes for some snowboarding once winter rolls around. I also love to read (romantasy is my go-to), try new restaurants and cuisines, catch a good concert, and spend time with friends and family.
