What do I do at the Counseling Center?

I serve as the Associate Director for Training and as the Training Director for our APA-accredited doctoral internship program. In this role, I also support our other training programs and provide clinical supervision for trainees. Alongside these responsibilities, I provide individual and group therapy for students. My clinical work incorporates EMDR, interpersonal, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches, which I adapt to meet the unique needs of each student.

What's it like to work with me?

I’m deeply passionate about working with college students, and I value the many experiences that have helped me understand the challenges, opportunities, and transitions that make this stage so meaningful. I often work with students navigating adjustment to and from college, identity development, relationships, and the intersection of mental health and academic achievement. A particularly meaningful aspect of my work involves supporting students who place high expectations on themselves or struggle to feel “enough,” helping them move toward greater self-understanding and compassion. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, and I strive to create a space where each student’s story and experiences are heard and met with empathy and respect.

What do I do outside of the Counseling Center?

Most of my time outside of work is spent with my son playing video games, creating board games, and having more TV and movie marathons than I probably should admit. I also value staying connected with friends and family around the country, experimenting with cooking foods from different cultures, exploring black-and-white photography, and relaxing with a good book and a big mug of chai tea.
