Any musician knows the key to understanding the music is understanding its’ cultural and historical significance. Music offers another platform to study history and society through. Studying abroad presents students with a broadened perspective and fosters interpretation and creative skills. Music students who study abroad will be able to experience the culture of a foreign place, appreciate the history and music industry, and express themselves through their music in new ways.

See the list of recommended study abroad programs below.  Please be aware that for any external or exchange study abroad programs listed, students will need to check with their academic department to see if courses taken while abroad will transfer and fulfill needed requirements.
