Student Testimonials

"Not only did this internship help me expand my resume by learning about web designand technology, I was also able to gain valuable connections during a time of solitude and isolation. Being able to virtually communicate and be part of a team with a group of people thousands of miles away was a much-needed experience for me during this time."

"Seeing the chance to do a virtual internship, and one with a study abroad element to it sounded like not only a replacement for my plans, but maybe something even a bit more unique."

“For students like me, ones who may not have had the money to complete a full study or internship abroad, this virtual international internship was the perfect solution that provided a small taste of working with international companies at a fraction of the cost.”

“Though I wish I had actually travelled to Valencia, this internship enabled me to virtually experience European journalism and culture, even during a global pandemic. In fact, Valencia is now added to my list of future travel destinations.”

"Despite the restrictions of COVID-19, I was still able to gain valuable experience in my desired career field of web development and digital content creation. I learned about a multitude of new technologies, the basics of how to design and build a website, and even a little bit about the culture of Spain."

“Throughout the whole internship, we had Zoom meetings about twice a week to check in on the progress, so there was always a process of updating and getting feedback, and there were never any big surprises or last-minute changes. Keeping up that communication was a great practice in learning how to communicate both professionally and virtually. It was also really helpful since I always knew what was expected of me and what my next task would be.”
