Submit the Intent to Enroll Form to the Office of the Registrar if you meet all of the following criteria:

  1.  You are an undergraduate student
  2. You have at least one graded (including withdrawals) semester at JMU.
  3. You left JMU in good standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Less than two years have passed since your last graded (including withdrawals) semester; or, any length of time has passed and you only need to be re-admitted in order to apply to graduate (i.e. you are transferring in final hours, etc.). 

Visit this website for the re-entry process through the Office of Academic Student Services if you meet any of the following criteria:

  1. You left JMU on academic suspension or your cumulative GPA was below 2.0.
  2. More than two years have passed since your last graded (including withdrawals) semester and you intend to enroll in JMU classes.

Students Applying in Order to Graduate ONLY:

ALL students applying for re-entry in order to apply to graduate (i.e. students who are in academic good standing at JMU and are transferring in final hours, etc.) submit the Intent to Enroll Form to the Office of the Registrar.

NOTES:

  1. All students applying in order to graduate, no matter the length of time that has passed since their last semester/term of enrollment, complete the Intent to Enroll Form.
  2. All students applying in order to graduate will be reactivated for the purposes of applying to graduate only; students will not be permitted to enroll in JMU classes.

Intent to Enroll Deadlines:

Fall Semester:             July 1
Spring Semester:         November 1
Summer Sessions:       April 1
