1The first three citations received by a registered vehicle for displaying an invalid
permit, failing to properly display a permit, or license plate not visible from travel
lane, within the current academic year (August 16th through August 15th), will result
in a $0 fine. Subsequent citations within the same academic year will result in a $5
fine.
2The first citation received by any vehicle for parking in a reserved hotel space within the current academic year (August 16th through August 15th) will result in a $0 fine. Subsequent citations received within the same academic year will result in a $25 fine.
3The first unregistered vehicle citation received by any vehicle within the current
academic year (August 16th through August 15th) will result in a $0 fine. Subsequent
citations received within the same academic year will result in a $100 fine.
• Parking citations issued to vehicles associated with an email address will not receive a physical citation. Instead, email notification of the citation will be sent to the address on file.
• Faculty, staff and students may opt in to receive a text notification when a parking citation is issued to their vehicle, or when their parking permit is about to expire. Register for text notifications via the Parking and Transit Services web portal at jmu.aimsparking.com.
