There are many ways to integrate a study abroad opportunity into your chemistry degree. Not only does an international experience help students develop a deeper understanding of other cultures, but it also introduces new intellectual challenges and professional opportunities. Chemistry and other sciences today are global in scope and study abroad prepares students to collaborate across cultural and language barriers to solve scientific problems and aid in its research. Students majoring in Chemistry may also find benefit by using their elective credit or general education requirements to supplement an international experience.
