Carol Lena is a CISE and ISNW project and grant manager, working with a variety of faculty members to advance sustainability initiatives and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. She serves as the Steering Committee Coordinator for the Shenandoah Valley Regional Center of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development, also known as Sustainable Shenandoah Valley. Prior to her work with JMU, Carol Lena held various positions in the non-profit environmental sector as well as in the technology and software development industry. She is delighted that her daily work now envelopes science and technology as well as an emphasis on environmental protection and sustainability.
