Please follow the specific driving directions and parking information for your exact Residence Hall below. Follow any posted signage throughout campus and obey all normal traffic laws.
Please note that fire lanes, accessible spaces, and access aisles will continue to be enforced at all times for the safety of the JMU community. Please do not leave a vehicle unattended for any length of time in these areas.
Cedar, Dogwood, Magnolia, Oak Halls
If you are coming to campus to help move out a student in one these halls you should use Exit 247B Route 33 West
- Travel west on Route 33/East Market Street and quickly get into the left lane
- At the first traffic light turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr. Way
- Continue on Martin Luther King Jr. Way to the fourth traffic light and make a left turn onto South Main Street
- Get into the left lane and continue on South Main Street to the second traffic light
- At this traffic light make a left onto campus at Bluestone Drive
- After the first stop sign go approximately 20 feet and bear right at the first intersection onto Newman Drive
- Cross the railroad tracks, and continue straight down past the Greek Row houses on your left
- Proceed towards your hall and pull up to the rear ground-level entrance behind your hall
- Once you have loaded your vehicle, follow the path you came down back up across the railroad tracks to exit campus
