James Madison University has a wide variety of residence halls on campus and with those, there are differential room rates based on where you live. Our room rates are divided into several categories:
- Category A: Non-air-conditioned, traditional style
- Category B: Non-air-conditioned, suite-style
- Category C: Air-conditioned, styles varying by building
- Category D: Air-Conditioned, built or renovated since 2019
- Category E: Air Conditioned, apartment-style
Note: Single Occupancy rooms are an additional $500 per semester
