Application Deadline

Admission to the certificate program requires that applicants have completed at least a bachelor's degree.

Applications for admission to the program will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis, but must be received by July 1 for Fall admission, December 1 for Spring admission, and April 1 for Summer admission.

Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.

  • A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university
  • Undergraduate GPA of 2.5 or higher
