Each year, partnering with the Graduate Student Association (GSA), The Graduate School celebrates the excellent work of of James Madison University graduate students at the Showcase of Graduate Student Scholarship & Creative Activities.

The Graduate Showcase is an opportunity for graduate students from more than 60 graduate degree programs to share their work with peers, faculty and others in the community. The Graduate Showcase highlights research and creative projects through presentations, posters, art installations and musical performances. Students receive awards for outstanding presentations and posters.

At our Awards Recognition event, The JMU Graduate School recognizes extraordinary students for their contributions in the areas of Innovation and Civic Engagement, as well as outstanding thesis and dissertation projects. In addition, the Graduate Student Association presents awards to individuals recognized as outstanding graduate students, faculty members, and they recognize exceptional graduate programs.

JMU Graduate students in Masters, Ed.S, doctoral, and graduate level certificate programs are invited to submit a proposal to present their work in the showcase.
