
The Graduate School Global Opportunity Scholarship
The Global Opportunity Scholarship is designed to provide support for students who participate in graduate-level study abroad experiences, including, but not limited to, short-term and residential graduate programs at JMU, internship and field placements outside the United States, and conducting research outside the United States. Note: Students presenting at conferences outside the United States are not eligible for this award; instead, those students should apply for international travel support through The Graduate School’s Travel Grant Program.
To apply, students must complete an application through the Center for Global Engagement-Study Abroad. NOTE: There are a limited number of scholarships and the process is competitive. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please read the eligibilty criteria below.
Eligibility

- Graduate students who are currently enrolled and in good standing at James Madison University.
- Students must be participating in a JMU-affiliated global experience and receiving JMU course credit for that work, this may include thesis, dissertation, and internship credits.
