Program Description
JMU in Colombia is a 3-phase program (Harrisonburg, VA -- Medellin, Colombia -- Cartagena, Colombia) that offers 6-credit hours in Supply Chain Management (MGT 461) and International Logistics (MKTG 462). The program is open to all college of business majors who have completed COB 300 and all students who are accepted to the Global Supply Chain Management minor.
You'll take Supply Chain Management (MGT 461) and International Logistics (MKTG 462) coursework at JMU before departing to Medellin in Colombia, where you'll be exposed to different inland supply chain experiences in a handful of industries. Right after, you'll travel to the Colombian Caribbean coast: Cartagena. There, you'll experience the operation of a large port and see firsthand the logistics operations involved in the collection and transformation of the raw product chosen for your class project.

Location Description
Harrisonburg, Virginia --> Medellin, Colombia --> Cartagena, Colombia
- Work on an international import/export project along with Colombian students
- Experience the "city of the eternal spring", "software valley", and homeland of the "bandeja paisa", Maluma, JBalvin, Karol G, and Juanes: Medellin.
- Experience a UNESCO World Heritage site where the past blends with the future and the ocean is right beside you: Cartagena.

Accommodations
Both in Medellin and Cartagena, students will be provided furnished apartments with internet access, kitchen and laundry.
Breakfast and another meal per day will be provided.
Additional Items to Consider
No visas required for Colombia for US citizens staying less than 90 days.
International roaming is required.
Two weeks of instruction on campus (JMU) prior to departure.
Applicant Criteria
Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
Open to junior college of business majors who completed COB300.
Basic Spanish would be useful, although not required
