Request a Vehicle

Training must be completed before you can request a vehicle. Training can be requested through MyMadison. Once you have attended training, login to AiM to request a vehicle, or for the new user friendly version click here.

You will have to print out the signature page and have it signed by someone with signature authority on the account to be charged for the vehicle. The signed form is then sent to the transpotation office before you can pick up the vehicle. The signed form and a valid drivers license are required to pick up the vehicle. The use of state vehicles is regulated by policy #4303.

By renting a motor pool vehicle through AiM, the signature page includes the following statement relating to accidents:


I understand that upon my return, any damage to this vehicle of less than $1000.00 not mentioned in the damage section of the pre-trip condition assessment will be my responsibility, and repairs will be billed to my department’s org number, unless the damage is covered by another party’s insurance.


The approver signing the trip signature page is agreeing to the above statement and must have signature authority on the billable organization code listed on the form. 

Trip charges that are questioned can be done by sending an email to FM Transportation at transportation@jmu.edu.
