About Us

Club Rowing is a competitive co-ed team of about 25 rowers and coxswains. We practice on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, about 25 minutes away from campus. Currently, we own two eights, five fours and two pairs.  We compete against collegiate club programs in the fall and spring seasons, traveling to both local and championship regattas including Tennessee’s Head of the Hooch and NCRC Championship Regatta.

How to Join

You can meet us at student org night at the beginning of every semester! We also hold interest meetings each semester. You can contact us for more information!

Time Commitment

We practice four times a week, twice at the river and twice at UREC. Practices at UREC last an hour, water practices last three hours.

We hold optional practices for the first two weeks of the semester at UREC. They are a good way to get to know the team and see if you would like to join! Once we get on the water, attendance is mandatory.

Dues

Dues average around $375 per semester.
