UREC 207

Lindsay (she/her/hers) joined the UREC team in 2021. As the Assistant Director for Aquatics & Safety, Lindsay oversees Aquatics staffing and programming, including certification classes and swim lessons, as well as the safety team, which includes the EMTs and emergency preparedness.

Lindsay graduated from SUNY Cortland with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and graduate degree in Heath Education. While working on her undergraduate degree, she was a student athlete and worked with Rec Sports all four years as a lifeguard, facilities supervisor, and office assistant. She continued her journey in collegiate recreation at SUNY Cortland and served as the Facilities and Aquatics Graduate Assistant, while pursuing a masters degree, teaching classes and coaching diving. After graduating, Lindsay accepted a position as the Aquatics Coordinator at UNC Greensboro, where she spent five years creating an Aquatics program from the ground up as the new facility opened in 2016 when she started. Lindsay is an active member of NIRSA and loves getting involved as much as she can.

Lindsay grew up in Rochester, NY and enjoys visiting as often as possible. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, CrossFit, spending time outdoors, playing any sport, and her cat and dog, Hugo and Nellie. Her favorite aspect about UREC is working in a team environment where everyone is welcoming and supportive, as well as the opportunity to work with students who bring great energy and passion into their work.
