Parker is the Graduate Assistant for Aquatics and Safety while pursuing a master’s degree in Sport and Recreation Leadership with a concentration in Campus Recreation and is expected to graduate in May 2027. Parker graduated from Indiana University with a bachelors in Parks, Recreation, and the Outdoors. During his time at Indiana, he was an active member of the American Camping association posting articles about his experience at summer camp. He also was involved in IU Rec Sports, working as a lifeguard, Aquatic Lead, Aquatics Assistant Manager, Swim Instructor, Intramural official, and volunteering his time to be on the SRSA council.
Parker grew up in Fort Wayne Indiana and enjoys activities outdoors. This includes relaxing on the water, playing sports, hiking, and hanging out with friends and family. He cheers on the Indiana Hoosier in all sports, and roots for the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, and Chicago Cubs. Parker is excited to live out on the east coast and explore all the adventure Harrisonburg, JMU, and UREC has to offer.
