UREC 204

Jasmine (she/her/hers) joined UREC in 2023 and currently serves as the Assistant Director for Sport Clubs. As the Assistant Director for Sport Clubs, she oversees the Coordinator and Graduate Assistant for Sport Clubs along with general oversight of the program.

Jasmine received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Lamar University in 2019. During her time as an undergrad, she became heavily involved with recreation and immediately knew that this was her passion. Jasmine continued her journey in collegiate recreation at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFASU) where she earned her Master of Arts in Student Affairs and Higher Education in 2021. While there she also served as the Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Member Services at Campus Rec. After graduating, she worked at SFASU as the Coordinator for Sport Clubs and Camps. Jasmine is an active member of NIRSA and currently serves as the Chair for NIRSA Club Basketball.

Jasmine grew up in Livingston, Texas where her immediate family still lives. In Jasmine’s free time, she loves watching sports, morning jogs, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her 12 nieces and nephews. She also enjoys critiquing dishes prepared by her partner, Justin, who is an aspiring chef. Jasmine’s favorite thing about UREC is the welcoming environment it creates for students, faculty, and staff.
