Garret Lee Milton is a scholar, educator, and creative practitioner in the performing arts. Garret received his B.A. in English from James Madison University, his M.F.A. in Drama from Catholic University of America (Washington, D.C.), and is currently completing his Interdisciplinary Fine Arts Ph.D. at Texas Tech University. In addition to his role as one of the academic advisors for the Honors College, Garret has taught higher education courses in communication studies, writing and rhetoric, art and culture, and theatre and performance. His interdisciplinary work bridges performance, critical theory, and socially engaged artmaking, with a strong commitment to mentorship and inclusive academic exploration. As an academic advisor for the Honors College, Garret is dedicated to helping students craft ambitious, intellectually rigorous pathways that connect scholarship, creativity, and meaningful community impact.
