Advising

Seeking advising support helps set you on a path to academic success! Academic advisors can be found on your MyMadison student center. Contact your program advisor to schedule a meeting to develop your plan of study and to find out important information related to requirements, dates and deadlines. Remember: JMU students are required to be familiar with the requirements outlined in their catalog year.  Make sure to ask questions if you have any!

For teacher education support, including questions related to admission and licensure, contact the Education Support Center at teacher-ed@jmu.edu.

Peer advisors (TEACH Ambassadors) are here to help in MH 7230! Peer advisor office hours are publicized each semester and you can contact them at teach.jmu@gmail.com.

Scholarships for 2020-2021

Students interested in applying for scholarships in Education Programs will have the opportunity to apply every Spring Semester. Announcements are made public throughout Memorial Hall, on this website, and via a mass email sent out to all Education students.

If you have already submitted your application, please be patient! Decisions for scholarship winners are made during the summer semester and must be approved by multiple departments before a student is notified.

Speak to your departmental faculty about additional scholarship opportunities. Departmental scholarships often have different requirements and due dates.

Please contact Kez Wilgus at wilgusks@jmu.edu for any additional scholarship questions.

**As of 10/15/2020, the window for applying to 2020-2021 scholarships is closed**
