The Gus Bus provides free literacy enrichment and academic afterschool programs to empower K-5th grade learners in the Shenandoah Valley. We remove social and economic barriers by creating safe, supportive environments where every child can build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Vision: Every child in the Shenandoah Valley will have the opportunity, support, and confidence to reach their full potential.
Our program is one of many housed at JMU’s Institute for Innovation in Health in Human Services, a department of the College of Health and Behavioral Services.
