Welcome to JMU's transfer student web site.
Each year approximately 1,000 new transfer students enroll at JMU. The university greatly values the diverse backgrounds and experiences transfer students bring to campus. In an effort to help you learn more about the process of transferring to JMU, we have designed this site especially for you.
How to use the Transfer Advising Website
The site is organized into categories to assist you in finding the answers you need quickly. The information is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of the entire transfer process, from planning coursework at your current institution that will fulfill JMU requirements to applying to JMU.
The web site contains information pertinent to you whether you plan to transfer from the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) or Richard Bland College (RBC), a community college out of state, or a four-year college or university. You are encouraged to review the information relevant to your situation so that you are well prepared to transfer.
