What is Student Creative Activities and Research?
We look to enriching all students' learning opportunities through creative activities, research, and scholarships. S-CAR supports JMU’s vision “To be the national model for the engaged university” and embodies several values of the institution including academic quality, diversity, innovation, and student focus. The Coordinator of S-CAR supports faculty, staff, administrators, and students to enhance research and creative activities as they recognize these are the primary means by which students can engage. Support is also provided by sharing successful strategies for, and examples of, establishing and growing research programs.
