The Office of Fellowships & Awards (OFA) highlights and prioritizes these awards because one or more of the following apply:

  • OFA plays an official role in the application process (nomination, endorsement, submission);

  • OFA has a specific advising process or specific resources;

  • They are awards we believe are of particular interest to JMU students and recent graduates;

  • They are awards that have proved transformative for program alums;

  • and/or are highly valued (complete with rich advising resources) by the National Association of Fellowships Advisors (NAFA).

Please don’t miss our much more extensive list of opportunities in the Fellowships Directory, where you can browse brief profiles of many more awards. We can help you apply to those awards, too!
