Club Bhangra in currently inactive. If you'd like to reactivate this club, please contact the Assistant Director for Sport Clubs and Inclusive Recreation.

In the past, Club Bhangra was a co-ed club composed of approximately 10-20 members.

Bhangra is an Indian Folk Dance that originated in the northern state of India called Punjab. It is a lively, high energy and colorful dance that started as a celebration of the harvest season in Punjab.

How to Join

The club is open to anyone who is willing to learn. No dance experience necessary!

Time Commitment

Practices were typically three days per week for two hours each. Members are strongly encouraged to attend each practice.

Dues

Historical dues were $30 per semester or $50 for the year.

Awards, Recognition and Championships

We have won various awards over the years at different dance competitions along the east coast.
