Mission Statement:
The Cooperative Orthotic and Prosthetic Enterprise (COPE) was established in 1998 as a local initiative of the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) of the Ministry of Public Health of Lao PDR, in a trans-national enterprise with four other partners: Prosthetic and Orthotic Worldwide Education and Relief (POWER) of UK, World Vision (WV), Cambodian School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (CSPO) and the Association for Aid and Relief of Japan (AAR). COPE was established to develop the existing Lao government medical rehabilitation services to address the prosthetic and orthotic (P&O) needs of persons with disability throughout the country.
