The Civic Engagement Lab is a collaborative workspace within the Center for International Stabilization and Recovery (CISR) dedicated to fostering informed citizenship, public service, and meaningful community engagement. The Lab provides students, faculty, and partners with a welcoming environment to explore the relationships between civic responsibility, democratic institutions, public policy, and humanitarian action.

Whether organizing community initiatives, conducting research, hosting discussions, or developing service-oriented projects, the Civic Engagement Lab supports interdisciplinary collaboration that equips participants to address complex local and global challenges.

 As part of the Civic Engagement Lab, CISR's initiative, "Love and War in America," explores how communities respond to conflict, division, and reconciliation. Through discussion, research, storytelling, and public engagement, this initiative examines how civic participation, historical understanding, and shared responsibility contribute to stronger and more resilient communities.
