About The Journal

The Journal of Conventional Weapons Destruction is an international forum for post-conflict recovery and explosive hazards clearance in the humanitarian mine action (HMA) and physical security and stockpile management (PSSM) communities. The Journal provides a platform for nongovernmental organizations, governments/militaries, academia, and practitioners to share information on relevent and timely issues, best practices, case studies, lessons learned, new technologies/methodologies, and other topics in the CWD field. Since its launch in 1997, The Journal has functioned as an historical resource for the community of practice, presenting a chronological reflection on developments within the CWD field.

The Journal has a print circulation of more than 2,200 and over 65,000 online downloads per year. The publication is read, in print or online, in more than 160 countries. A complete online archive is available on the JMU Scholarly Commons and issues published since 2014 are also available on Issuu.com.
