Mission Statement:
Train and prepare U.S. military forces, US government humanitarian mine action (HMA) stakeholders, and international partners to conduct HMA missions in landmine and other explosives remnants of war (ERW) disposal, and physical security and stockpile management (PSSM) using "train the trainer" instructional methods. Activities include: -Humanitarian Mine Action training and information center -Researching worldwide tactics on landmines, other explosive remnants of war use and demining techniques -Mine action information technology training HDTC has trained U.S. military forces to provide Humanitarian Mine Action (HMA) instruction in over 43 mine-affected countries. Covering the U.S. Unified Combatant Command area of responsibilities. * U.S. Africa Command * U.S. Central Command * U.S. European Command * U.S. Pacific Command * U.S. Southern Command
