Transfer Pathways for this Major
The B.F.A. in Graphic Design requires significant coursework that is only offered at JMU, so you may want to consider planning to transfer after one year.

- Students must submit a portfolio of their work in order to be considered for admission to the program. See the department's website for review dates and more information on the portfolio.
- There is an additional admission process for graphic design. Admission to upper division GRPH courses is based on completion of all prerequisite art courses and merit as determined by a faculty review of portfolios submitted in satisfaction of the course GRPH 208, Portfolio Review.
