COVID-19 Sport Clubs Update

At UREC, we know that Sport Clubs are very important to the college experience and we are working hard to be able to create a plan to allow for club activities that can be done safely. Below you will find a link to the Sport Clubs Phased Return to Play Guidelines detailing the approach of returning to play this Fall semester.

Please read the guidelines below and contact the Clubs directly for more information about their plans and to inquire about which phase they are currently in.

Sport Clubs Phased Return to Play Guidelines

About Us

We are a co-ed club of around 60 members. We compete year round as an Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) team, but members can still join and not be on the team.

How to Join

There are no tryouts to be in the club or to ride, but there are tryouts for the IHSA team.

Time Commitment

Practice is determined by you. You can ride once, twice or three times a week. The time commitment is around three hours, including the ride to and from the farm.

Dues

Dues are $50 per semester for those not riding and $75 for those that are riding.

Awards, Recognition and Championships

We had two girls compete at the National Championship in the last two years.
