About Us
Club Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a co-ed, student-led organization with over 50 active members, united by a shared passion for the art and sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our primary focus is on skill development through regular practice, fostering a supportive and inclusive training environment for all experience levels. While members are welcome to compete in open tournaments, participation is entirely optional. Beyond training, we host engaging seminars, fundraising initiatives, and social events to build community both on and off the mats.
How to Join
There is no formal tryout process—everyone is welcome to join, regardless of experience. Membership is open throughout the semester, though those who join within the first three weeks of practice will receive exclusive perks.
Time Commitment
Practices are held Monday through Thursday evenings for two hours, with an additional open mat session offered on weekends. While attendance is not mandatory to accommodate members’ varying academic and personal commitments, consistent participation is strongly encouraged to support skill development and team cohesion.
Dues
Members may choose between a one-semester or two-semester membership plan. The one-semester plan is priced at $75, while the two-semester plan is available at a discounted rate of $130.
Awards, Recognition and Championships
The club has earned a total of 61 medals at Grappling Industries competitions, including 22 Gold, 21 Silver, and 18 Bronze.
