Mitchell is the Graduate Assistant for Adventure and TEAM Programs where he assists with the UREC Adventure Center's climbing programing, adventure trips, TEAM challenge course, and the rental center.
He is pursuing a master’s degree in Sport and Recreation Leadership with a concentration in Campus Recreation and is expected to graduate in May 2027. He is originally from Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, and stayed in state for his undergrad, receiving a Bachelor's of Science in Biology, Environmental Science, and Broad Field Science Education from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. During his time at UWS, Mitchell worked at the climbing wall, rental center, and was the student manager for the trips program.
