The JMU School of Professional & Continuing Education (SPCE) in partnership with The Madison Center for Community Development (MCCD) connects community needs with the intellectual capacity and expertise of JMU faculty and students as well as their research interests. Our partnership, led by the Interim Dean of SPCE and Director of MCCD, Dr. Nicholas Swartz, facilitates the continued and expanded development of community-based research and learning through mutually beneficial partnerships.

Community Based Graduate Assistants

Through the MCCD, SPCE places graduate assistants on-site with community partner organizations for added capacity and unique professional development opportunities.
