The chapter accreditation program is Fraternity and Sorority Life’s way of assessing the health of our organizations on an annual basis. The top-scoring organizations in each category are awarded bronze, silver, or gold status.

Conduct Overview

Social fraternity and sorority organizational misconduct is handled by a combination of the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life professional staff and student staff known as the Student Hearing Officers.

Standards Policy
All organizations advised by the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life are expected to abide by and uphold the laws and policies of the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the City of Harrisonburg, and James Madison University.  Any member of the Fraternity & Sorority Life Community is eligible to sponsor an amendment to the Standards Policy.
