Veronica came to JMU for graduate school and was a Graduate Assistant in Fitness and Nutrition at UREC. She then worked in wellness at a retirement community, at the local hospital’s wellness center, and with Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation.

She then came to JMU because she really enjoy working with young adults during a very impactful time of their lives and learned a lot about student affairs and student development during her time at UREC which made her want to work in higher education.

In her spare time, Veronica enjoys spending time with her partner and animals (she has a cat named Jolene and a puppy named Samson.) She also enjoys practicing yoga, hiking, reading and live music.

What she likes best about working here at JMU in the UHC is her fellow colleagues. "I enjoy working in an environment where others are passionate about what they do and that I can learn from others every day."
