On-campus Program Expenses
JMU’s Pre-Sessional English Program, our on-campus experience, is considerably more expensive than our online opportunity because the program is conducted on the JMU campus in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Students will need to cover the cost of living expenses for three months, transportation, and fees for the use of campus facilities.
Expenses:
Tuition: $5,000
22 hours of instruction/week including a 1 credit disciplinary course.
Comprehensive Fee: $300
Provides access to JMU libraries, recreational facilities, etc.
Administration Fee: $90
For campus administrative fees.
International Student Fee: $100
For visa assistance.
Health insurance: $422

Living expenses: $5,200
Housing, food, and other routine expenses (May - August)

Such as travel to our campus and personal expenses.

JMU will sponsor student visas to participate in Pre-Sessional English, however, students will need to demonstrate that they have the financial resources to cover their expenses, as described above.
