Transcripts

Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.

Required by Program

It is recommended that students who are considering the Strategic Leadership program attend an informational meeting wtih Director Dr. Karen Ford prior to completing an application. If you have not already spoken with Dr. Ford, e-mail Brooke Rhodes (rhodesbm@jmu.edu) to schedule.

  • Intended field of concentration
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Undergraduate statistics course
  • Undergraduate accounting course
  • Brief statement of purpose, 250 words in length
  • Three (five preferred) years of full-time equivalent work experience
  • Two scholarly or professional writing samples
  • Resume
  • Three personal references, including a current or former direct supervisor. The references listed on your application will receive a link to an online form.
Test Requirements

GRE General Test or GMAT.  Scores older than 5 years, please contact the program.

For Internationals - minimum TOEFL score of 95
