Application Deadline
To be considered for a Kinesiology Graduate Teaching Assistantship, applications for program admission and an assistantship must be received by March 1. Applications for admission to the program (without consideration for a Kinesiology Assistantship) will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis but must be received by July 1 for Fall admission and November 1 for Spring admission.

Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary institutions should be uploaded with your electronic application and may be used for departmental admission review purposes. If offered admission, you will be directed and required to submit to the JMU Graduate School an official transcript from any institution from which a degree has been awarded to finalize your admission. Transcripts are considered official if they are sent to JMU directly from the issuing institution.

Students with an unrelated major are encouraged to have a grade of B or higher in Human Physciology or Exercise Physiology course.
GRE General Test is required for the following:
- International students with foreign degrees (If you have country-specific restrictions, please contact Dr. Kurti-Luden for guidance)
GRE General Test is encouraged but not required:
- Applicants with an undergraduate cumulative GPA<3.0 or those whose major is unrelated to Exercise Physiology
