Jeffrey is a Music Education major with a focus in Vocal Music Education and is also pursuing a minor in AAAD (African, African American, and Diaspora Studies). He plans to teach high school choir for a few years before returning to school to achieve a Master's Degree and Doctoral Degree in Music and Black History/Literature. He is also the President of the Student's National Association of Teachers of Singing and is a member of the JMU Color Guard. A love for Black Literature was found through the Survey of Black Literature class that he took in Spring '26 and inspired him to write his own poetry. He is honored to be a part of the Gillespie Fellows!
