This community is part of the CFI’s Neuroaffirming Series: The CFI values the diversity within the neurodiversity community, and recognizes that individuals bring different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, and contributions. In collaboration with faculty, we acknowledge the need for opportunities to celebrate the contributions of neurodivergent individuals and the neurodiverse community and create greater access and inclusion. We invite you to join us in our explorations, whether you identify as neurodivergent, diverse, an accomplice or ally, or want to learn more. These opportunities will explore sustainable and equitable approaches to teaching, learning, scholarship, careers, and wellness and well-being with a focus on faculty.

This faculty community offers opportunities for conversation, exploration, and reflection around neurodiversity. We collaborate to advance JMU's mission and values, and seek innovative ways to support participation and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and community members.

Faculty will make progress toward

  • Building community and collaboration around neurodiversity
  • Increasing access, inclusion, and well-being for faculty, staff, students, and community members
  • Celebrating neurodiversity as a valuable form of human diversity

Time/location: TBA
