Recognizing CVPA Staff
Annual Staff Recognition Award

Congratulations to Asha Hospach, winner of the 2022 CVPA Staff Recognition Award!

Asha Hospach

The staff sub-committee of the Dean’s Advisory Council reviews nominations for this and recommends the recipient to the dean.

This year Asha Hospach, Box Office Manager at the Forbes Center, has been selected for this year’s CVPA Staff Recognition Award. Asha’s nominations highlighted her positive attitude and her strong work ethic, going “above and beyond” regularly. Her efforts to revitalize the box office experience, from ticket purchases to obtaining comp tickets, has not gone unnoticed. She has created several new systems and is continuously improving existing ones to increase efficiency.

The box office is often the first point of contact for visitors to the Forbes Center and Asha makes sure everything runs smoothly to ensure that everyone feels welcome. Additionally, Asha’s supervision of the box office sales associates is exemplary. She has built a strong team through her caring and attentive leadership.

When the Dean’s Office was without an Administrative Assistant for a period of time, Asha stepped in to help, fulfilling the duties of both that job and her own. During that time, Asha’s work continued to be stellar.

Asha’s abilities were highlighted in the nominations:

“During COVID last year, she was instrumental in ensuring that we developed programs to safeguard our audiences and our students/faculty when buying tickets for events. She was responsible for setting up the audience systems that allowed us to host outdoor performances for Theatre and Dance that were enormously successful.”

“Asha has managed to handle patron complaints with grace and has maintained a positive image for the Forbes Center despite all of the strange changes and unexpected curve balls that COVID has thrown her way. She is calm, collected, and thinks proactively all of the time about what she needs to be doing in the workplace.”

“You always know that when Asha takes on a project it will be done in an A-plus fashion. She is a model for CVPA and clearly representative of what we should all be striving for. She loves her job and is an incredible advocate for the arts!”
