Change Date and Time Settings in Windows




This applies to the Windows Operating System only!

Windows XP
  1. Log in as a local administrator.
  2. Double-click the time on the taskbar.
  3. Click the Time Zone tab and select the time zone that corresponds with your geographical location.
  4. If you need to check your actual time, visit http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ to do so and change your time under the Date & Time tab.
  5. Click OK.

Windows Vista

  1. Log in as a local administrator.
  2. Single-click the time on the taskbar.
  3. Click the Change time zone... button.
  4. Use the drop-down menu under Time zone: and select the time zone that corresponds with your geographical location.
  5. Click OK.
  6. If you need to check your actual time, visit http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ to do so and change your time using the Change date and time... button.
  7. Click OK.
