Karen Norment joined UREC as the Assistant Director for Budget and Finance in 2023. Prior to working at UREC, Karen worked 6 years at JMU as the Program Support Tech in the Biology Department.

Karen was born and raised in Kansas. She has been married to her husband, John, for 14 years and has two sons, Atticus and Gabriel.  She enjoys spending time with her family playing Dungeons & Dragons and utilizing UREC’s family hours with the kids swimming and playing pickleball.
